The center plays a key role in using the basic and applied reearch of the Security Engineering area for the cross use of military and non-military purposes.

■ The direction and constitution of the research consists of mainly 3 parts: the research areas of 'security management and access control', 'cryptology and the security systems', and ' applied security systems', which have organic structure in which they are usually independent, except when they need to cooperate with each other for complementary purposes.

■ The participants of about 20 professors from local universities and around 60 researchers from master's or doctoral degree courses and industry sectors are excellent attributes to the center who are experienced, directly or indirectly, in information-related research and in the cooperative work between industry and school.
